What is a digestive disorder?
Problems with digestion can manifest themselves in many ways. Bloating, abdominal pain, cramps, flatulence, constipation or heartburn – these symptoms are most common in people. Most of the time, these complaints are not chronic – so you can easily ward them off by paying attention to them.
The human body is made up of quite a few complex building blocks. You probably already know this, and going into too much detail would not be particularly helpful at this point. But we can tell you for sure: if one of these building blocks is not set correctly, complaints often arise.
Especially when it comes to digestion, the smallest changes are enough to trigger a chain reaction. Breakfast is known to be the start of the day – that's why you should pay attention to what you eat even at this early stage. A hot breakfast and a sugar-free breakfast can help you to prevent indigestion. A hot breakfast is also very good for your immune system! This chain reaction starts in the morning – but what causes it?

What causes indigestion?
Due to the many components of the human body, a wide range of factors can contribute to your tummy feeling queasy. These include, among other things:
- Fatty foods
- Heavily sweetened foods
- Flatulent foods (legumes, cabbage, onions, garlic)
- Mental factors such as stress or anxiety
- Or even excessive alcohol and nicotine consumption
If you are plagued by such complaints, it is not necessarily a cause for alarm. It can happen that even a healthy person has to struggle with their digestion after a sumptuous meal. However, if the symptoms persist for a longer period of time or occur independently of meals, you should consult a doctor you trust. After all, indigestion can indicate underlying illnesses.
How can you help yourself with indigestion?
Our recommendation for you: Write your own food diary! Take a notebook and write down what you eat in a day. If you then have problems with your stomach and health, you can easily see what is not good for you! If you then see a doctor, it will also be easier for them to get an idea of what is wrong.
You are what you eat!
The old saying is always true. You really are what you eat! That's why you should pay particular attention to what you eat. It's important to start your day healthily, starting with breakfast.
It's advisable to start with something warm at breakfast. A porridge with black coffee or tea without sugar. For the perfect start to the day, we recommend our delicious strawberry chia porridge – warm, healthy and good for your digestion. The fiber in the oats, in particular, also aids your digestion.
Tea can also help with digestion issues. Peppermint, for example. You should also make sure that you drink enough water and eat a high-fiber diet – traditional Chinese medicine has been reporting on the benefits of proper nutrition for a long time!
Oats, the all-rounder
Oats, for example, are a very healthy and high-fiber alternative! A high-fiber diet will stimulate your digestion and allow your intestines to function properly. But oats don't just contain fiber; they also contain many other vitamins. This makes oats more than just a digestive aid: they also help prevent cardiovascular diseases and diabetes! A true superfood.
Flaxseeds are good for you and your digestion
Seeds are just as good for your digestion. Flaxseeds in particular help with constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. They also have an anti-inflammatory effect and contain many natural fats that are very good for humans. Find out more about flaxseeds, the little miracle seeds, here!

- 40 g rolled oats
- 1/2-1 zucchini
- 30 g protein powder (optionally with flavor)
