Cereal bars are always good: whether for breakfast, as a healthy small snack, or as an energy-rich snack after sports activities.
Here's a recipe for fruit lovers. In these bars, the slightly sour cranberries and the sweetness of the cherries come together for a true explosion of taste. With just a few ingredients, Verival cranberry cherry muesli can be transformed into fruity, protein- and fiber-rich muesli bars that have a long shelf life and are always close at hand.
What ingredients do I need for the bars?
Because the cranberry cherry muesli already contains delicious fruits and fiber-rich oats , few ingredients are enough to turn the muesli into practical bars:

- The gluten-free and vegan Verival Cranberry Cherry Muesli
- Some flour
- Apple sauce
- A pinch of cinnamon
- Some lemon juice
- Maple syrup
- Agave syrup
- Baking powder
What are cranberries?
Originally from North America, cranberries are closely related to our native cranberries. They have a long tradition as a medicinal plant. Due to their acidity and antibacterial properties, they are attributed with several health-promoting benefits, such as strengthening the immune and cardiovascular systems. In addition, they are thought to have a preventive effect against cystitis.
Since not everyone appreciates their slightly sour taste, they can be combined well with sweets such as honey or maple syrup.

Why are the bars not only delicious, but also healthy?
But it's not just the cranberries that make these granola bars a valuable meal; they contain many other nutrient-rich ingredients that not only taste good but are also health-promoting.
- The high-fiber oats keep you full for a long time and are particularly valuable due to the quality of their carbohydrates, protein composition, unsaturated fatty acids, and the vitamins and minerals they contain.
- The sweet cherry is a real vitamin bomb, as it contains numerous minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, and iron, along with many vitamins including B1, B2, B6, and vitamin C. Sweet cherries therefore support healthy teeth and contribute to more beautiful skin. Thanks to the sleep hormone melatonin, they can even help improve sleep quality.
- The bars contain only natural sweetness , such as maple syrup, sultanas, and apple cubes, meaning they do not contain any industrial sugar.
- The ingredient list consists solely of plant-based ingredients, with no animal products , making them suitable for a vegan diet.
What is the best way to store the bars?
These cereal bars have the advantage that they can be stored in a can for several days. If you want to stock up, you can also freeze them. Taken out of the freezer the day before, they are just right for a healthy breakfast in the morning. Or simply leave them at room temperature for a few hours before eating, and they will already be thawed.

If you want to make someone happy with something homemade, or you need a quick souvenir, just wrap the bars nicely, and you have a gift prepared with love that also tastes good.
